A Work of Art.
For the past three years, Sharolyn Townsend has enriched the Woodland Star community with her creativity and talent by designing the artwork featured on our Jogathon shirts and Readathon tote bags. Her whimsical and captivating designs begin as hand-drawn sketches in pencil, which are then meticulously inked in black pen. Each design includes playful, subtly hidden elements, ensuring that children discover something new every time they wear them.
Sharolyn is the proud parent of two WSCS students, a dedicated member of the Charter Council, and a skilled photographer who graciously serves as our yearbook photographer. Everything she produces is filled with passion and love. Thank you, Sharolyn!

We have a total need of $20,000 for the 2025-2026 field trips. From magical nature hikes to a large scale multiple day 8th Grade trip, all the field trips aim to bring learning outside of the classroom and build lifelong learners.
